The Thailand Voice Award for “Blog of the Month” goes to Ben Shingleton for his blog called The Thai Pirate which is about the life of a British expat and his family in Thailand

THAILAND VOICE BLOG OF THE MONTH: The Thai Pirate
URL: http://www.TheThaiPirate.com
TWITTER: N/A
DESCRIPTION: The best blogs about Thailand are from people who live outside the main cities and tell us about their daily life. The Thai Pirate is such a blog. It is written by Ben Shingleton who, in his own words, is a “drunken English bum, wandering the streets of London and the South East. Incredibly, he managed to meet a fine young lass who whisked him away to Thailand, where he is now living and working.” Since he started his blog, Ben has seen the birth of his baby son Aiden. Ben also has a blog on landscape gardening, which is his profession, and it is worth checking out to see what is achievable for your garden in Thailand.

The Thailand Voice Award for “Blog of the Month” goes to Mark Wiens, Bo Kiattiyoscharoen and Dwight Turner for their collaborative blog called Eating Thai Food which helps feed the world’s obsession with Thai food.

The relatively new Eating Thai Food blog is refreshingly different in that it brings you hundreds of food pictures often shot live by the contributors using their digital cameras or mobile phones. Although you won’t find detailed recipes here, you will be told the main ingredients of what you are eating. The blog is split into different categories such as noodles and curries and also a mouth-watering section of pictures of  Thai desserts. Also useful is their Bangkok Food Map. Eating Thai Food is highly recommended to anyone addicted to Thai food and need a daily fix.

The Thailand Voice Award for “Blog of the Month” goes to Andy for his blog called Changwat, Amphoe, Tambon for his untiring dedication in bringing us everything that we could possibly ever need about the administrative process of Thailand.

URL: http://tambon.blogspot.com
TWITTER: @MaewNam
DESCRIPTION: This blog gives us everything about the administrative subdivisions of Thailand – history, current news, little known facts, reviews of corresponding books and a lot more. There is very little in the English language about the running of the country at a local level and so this website is very invaluable to many people. Even Thai people could learn something as often their provincial or district run websites are hardly ever updated.

When she finds something that works, or that might work, she shares it on her site.
